Hernani is a town that celebrates its patron saint’s festivities in style.

They commence on 23rd June, on the eve of San Juan, the patron saint of the town.

A few days beforehand, one of the most iconic events that heralds the arrival of the festivities takes place: the Prelude.

In these patron saint festivities there is no shortage of activities for all ages, charanga music in the streets, concerts at night, a fair area, food stalls and unmissable events that have made Hernani’s festivities famous.

In addition to the Prelude, the traditional Azeri Dantza or the Akelarre, among others, form part of the most representative events of the festivals of San Juan.
