Nere Borda botanical park
Just a 10-minute walk from the centre of Hernani, the Park is a small natural paradise of 5,685 m2
Open to the public all year round, but with limited opening hours (from 9am to 6pm in winter and from 9am to 8pm in summer), this park is divided into four areas: the English garden, the classical garden, the forest and the experimental garden.
Along the way you will be able to enjoy a wide variety of trees and flowers, both native and from around the world, such as conifers, including a majestic Pinus radiata, Himalayan cedars, palm trees and magnolias, among others.
The park also has a fish pond, different coloured paved paths, benches where you can sit and have a rest, etc. This is undoubtedly a great place to relax and spend some time with your family, partner or friends. It is especially good for cooling off on hot days.
Outside the botanical park, for those who love unique trees, on the terraces of the Goiz Eguzki social centre, there is a classified specimen of Ginkgo biloba, a living fossil and one of the largest in Gipuzkoa, at 21m tall.
