There is no doubt that Hernani was an important Medieval Town and the streets and monuments of the Old Town bear witness to this.
The medieval fair, which adorns the streets of the Old Town for three days, is held to remind us of this fact.
Over those days, Hernani is decorated with banners and flags, food and craft stalls, street performances and displays of handicrafts from yesteryear, thanks to the work of the Hernani Errotzen cultural association, which organises this picturesque and attractive event in the month of June.
Over the course of three days and in the main squares of the Old Town, hernaniarras and visitors will be able to enjoy:
Craft stalls
Both those reminiscent of times gone by and modern ones.
Food stalls
Both Basque products and other options from different places and regions. There are also both sweet and savoury food stalls so that you can enjoy different gastronomic delicacies while you visit the fair.
Themed performances and parades
Organised by the association itself to give a more medieval touch to the town.
Medieval games and workshops
For children to enjoy at their leisure or with their families.
